Abstract
The article considers modern historiographical sources as a component of scientific communication relating to problems of state regulation of monetary circulation and activity of financial and credit institutions in Dnieper Ukraine during the post-reform period. It is emphasized that these scientific works are dealing with relevant and debatable issues, and the authors through their researches communicating with other researchers and trying to justify their points of view. It is proved that the problems of money circulation and activity of banking and credit institutions in the territory of Dnieper Ukraine in the post-reform period have become the subject of research in the works of many modern scholars. However, some issues of monetary circulation in the provinces of Dnieper Ukraine, in particular, the peculiarities of monetary reforms, the purchasing power of money, the attitude of the population to currency, and the struggle of power institutions with false coins, have been still poorly studied in modern historiography. At the same time, not only historians but also lawyers and economists are studying banking problems. This is due to the applied nature of such research, because studying the experience of banking institutions, sometimes even negative ones, can be taken into account in solving the problems of the present, which is what experts emphasize. Thus, the problems of monetary circulation and activity of banking institutions in the territory of Dnieper Ukraine in the post-reform period are reflected in a number of historiographical sources, which are an extremely important component of modern scientific communication
