Organizational and management component of professional competence of future documentation specialists

Abstract

The article describes the concept of organizational and managerial competence and peculiarities of its formation in future specialists in scientific discipline of documentation in the process of their professional preparation; the structure and content of managerial (managerial) competence are outlined. Existing in the scientific literature classification of professional competencies of documentation specialists, proposed by H. Malyk, L. Filipova and other researchers are considered. It is established that, in general scientists interpret organizational and managerial competence as the willingness to perform organizational and managerial tasks, presence of value orientations, ability to make individual and collective management decisions; ability to make optimal management decisions; to perceive, analyze and implement managerial innovations in professional activity. At the same time, attention is paid to the priority of the managerial component of this competence. The following concepts related to organizational and managerial competence are analyzed: «professionalism of management», «professional culture», «competence profile of documentation specialist», «managerial culture of documentation specialists». Attention is paid to the content component of national documentary education, in which, along with the documentary, information, linguistic-communication, legal cycle of academic disciplines, students master the management, associated with the formation of organizational and managerial competence. Information from higher education institutions’ sites has been analyzed, which has shown the training of document managers with managerial functions. It is emphasized that the mentioned specialists can be implemented in the following managerial positions: Head of the administrative apparatus (Head of the Secretariat, Head of the Chancellery); Head of Human Resources and Labor Relations Department (Head of Human Resources Department); manager / specialist of the management documentation service; manager of archival state and commercial institutions; advertising and marketing communications manager; HR manager; information manager; head of advertising department; office manager; HR manager (human resource manager in the organization); PR manager and so on
