Abstract
In the article is analyzed the Ukrainian-Polish direction of the work of the Kirovohrad D. I. Chyzhevskyi Regional Universal Scientific Library. D. I. Chyzhevskyi Regional Universal Scientific Library closely cooperates with the K. Shymanovskyi Association of the Kirovohrad Region Poles «Poloniia», with the Poles Union in Ukraine and the Tadeush Mykulskyi Public Library in Wroclaw. They direct their activities to preserve and revive cultural heritage and national traditions, to develop partnerships between Ukrainians and Poles. The important components of the Ukrainian-Polish vector of work are highlighted: holding conferences, festivals, meetings, exhibitions, presentations, concert programs, demonstration of artistic and documentary films, organization of courses on the study of the Polish language, etc. Particular attention is given to the publication of Ukrainian-Polish topics - articles, essays, monographs, as well as collections of Polish printed documents, including: manuscripts, ancient prints, rare books of the 18 – early 20 centuries. The importance of library corporations, the appointment of which is to enrich the information resources of each library through mutual exchange of information and creation of a joint information area, is substantiated. A number of perspective directions of the library activity on the national and international levels are offered.
