Abstract

The article analyzes and characterizes the content of personal bibliographic manuals presented on the website of the Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Valentyn Otamanovskyi in the electronic library in the «Library Publications» section for the period from 2008 to 2022. The advantages of creating electronic bibliographic manuals are also outlined, which are aimed at reproducing the life and activities of prominent Ukrainian figures and are an important source in the system of personality research. It was found that at the current stage, the priority direction is the use of modern information technologies, with the extension of the service, which will make it possible to more quickly provide Internet users with full-text information resources. Scientific novelty. An important place in the creation of electronic bibliographic products is occupied by the preparation of a personal bibliography. They reflect the institution’s scientific and creative output over a certain period, and popularize well-known regional figures. That is why, in recent years, this area of activity of libraries has attracted considerable attention of many researchers. Conclusions. There have been made the recommendations for optimizing the information and bibliographic provision of biographical studies of prominent figures of the region. It is also recommended to prepare electronic personal bibliographic manuals for the future, by searching and selecting figures that left a noticeable mark in the history of the development of Ukrainian society and Vinnytsia particularly
