Abstract

The article deals with the actual problem of the use of information and communication technologies for the formation of professional and terminological competence of future specialists in occupational safety. The authors substantiate the importance of using information and communication technologies in the educational process in the study of professional terminology. The levels of formation of professional and terminological competence of future specialists are investigated, the amount of terminological knowledge in students is determined. According to the results of the experiment, it was established that the use of various effective pedagogical and innovative technologies in the study of terminological vocabulary in the classroom in special disciplines forms terminological competence and professional skills in educational applicants. It also helps to increase the general level of professional knowledge of students, expand the vocabulary, develop cognitive and volitional qualities, teaches to carry out information-educational and experimental research activities, encourages development. According to the results of testing to determine the volume of terminological knowledge, we found that the control group had average indicators, and the experimental group had high. This indicates a sufficient level of assimilation of professional terminology by students of the experimental group, their understanding of the essence of basic concepts and phenomena, the ability of students to replace the basic terms with more accessible statements and the understanding of the importance of professional terminology for future activities and their interest in studying it. It was found that the active use of information and communication technologies with traditional forms of training positively affects the study of professional terminology, encourages students to develop, helps to deepen and systematize knowledge, and also forms the professional and terminological competence of future specialists
