Анотація
У статті комплексно досліджено організаційні, навчально-наукові засади функціонування Уманського національного університету садівництва у другій половині ХІХ – наприкінці ХХ ст. Визначено передумови й особливості поетапної розбудови закладу (від училища до інституту) на фоні загальних тенденцій становлення та розвитку сільськогосподарської освіти на території українських земель означеного періоду. Прослідковано зміни в навчальних програмах, у формуванні практичного господарства установи; акцентовано увагу на специфіці формування напрямів підготовки у контексті реорганізації училища на основі нормативних актів, що регулювали його діяльність упродовж 1860-х – 1890-х рр., реформування структури училища на початку ХХ ст. Висвітлено вплив суспільно-політичної ситуації у 1920-х рр. на процес організації навчального процесу в закладі (українізація, відкриття робітничого факультету), напрями наукової діяльності у статусі сільськогосподарського технікуму. Охарактеризовано діяльність закладу з моменту реорганізації його в Уманський сільськогосподарський інститут (1928 р.). Розглянуто зміни навчально-практичної структури в 1930-х рр., розширення навчально-наукової роботи в інституті в повоєнний період. Відзначено персональний внесок відомих вчених, зокрема, І.М. Єремеєва у розбудову інституту та розвиток агротехнічної галузі загалом. Приділено увагу організаційному оформленню в інституті нових структурних підрозділів, форматів навчання до здобуття вищої сільськогосподарської освіти, підвищення фахового рівня спеціалістів (підготовка агрономів-педагогів, післядипломна сільськогосподарська освіта) в 1960-х – 1980-х рр. Проаналізовано виставкову та просвітницьку діяльність закладу на кожному з етапів діяльності. Встановлено, що поряд із практичними результатами вдосконалення аграрного виробництва, навчально-наукова робота закладу в другій половині ХІХ – на початку ХХ ст. неодноразово відзначалася почесними нагородами на спеціалізованих виставках регіонального, загальнодержавного та міжнародного рівня. Розширення науково-практичної діяльності, виставкова активність інституту у другій половині ХХ ст. стали факторами утвердження його статусу як одного з провідних центрів аграрної науки в Україні
