The article defines the concept of information-analytical competence of future specialists in document management as an integral part of documentologists professional competence through terminological apparatus analysis and identification of this competence formation features. In particular the terms «competence», «professional competence», «documentologists’ information-analytical competence» have been analyzed. Available in scientific literature classifications of documentologists’ professional competences proposed by G. Malik, L. Filipova and other scientists have been considered. Attention is concentrated on future documentologists’ information-analytical competence. In particular, the ratio of informational and analytical components in competence structure of different profiles specialists’ is traced. It was noted that document specialists (information analysts, consolidate information analysts), having direct relation to different information types and its analysis should have a specially formed information-analytical competence of a specialist. It was focused on the importance and necessity of formation precisely these learning outcomes, associated with information and analytical knowledge, skills and abilities. Potential of educational subjects of information-analytical profile which should be introduced into the training curriculum has been brought out. Strengthening of analytical component in the structure of information-analytical competence of competent specialists training was noted. A working definition of information-analytical competence of future specialists in document management as a component of documentologists’ professional competence was proposed. This competence integrates knowledge, skills, and professionally significant qualities, necessary for searching, systematization and analysis of various information types, processed information presenting in an accessible format, patterns identification in a certain area and further situation development forecasting on the basis of identified patterns and other kind of information
