The article identifies and substantiates the main periods of informatization of archival institutions of Ukraine; the composition and content of archival information resources of a new type are characterized, their role in the formation of the National Register of electronic information resources and their significance is defined. It was emphasized that in the context of innovative implementations, all historically documented arrays of archival information are a powerful productive element of social activity, the importance of which is emphasized by the state’s strategy of Ukraine’s entry into the global information space. Also analyzed the legislation on the studied problem. The main directions of use of information resources of the National Archival Fund of Ukraine are considered. Its forms, and also requirements of users are investigated and classified. It is noted that the organization of the use of archival information is an integration factor in all areas of work of archival institutions; it brings together archives of all types and levels, enhances their role in all spheres of public life
