Abstract
The article gives an overview of the issue of creation and activity of the ethnographic museum “Berehinya” at a secondary school of Novosilka, Zalyshchitsky district of Ternopil region. The purpose of the article is to highlight the problem of functioning of this museum, display of exhibited objects, directions of its activity and popularization of the institution as a tourist object of the SouthWest Podillya. Today there is a significant number of local lore, art, ethnographic and other museums at educational institutions. Their multidisciplinarity, expositional completeness and variety of activities make possible to solve multidisciplinary issues of the educational process at an appropriate level. The museum plays an important role in shaping the national consciousness of children, preserves the memory of the past of the region, the village, the school, forming their love for their native land, patriotism, and the sense of involvement in the formation of history.
