Information resource of the university libraries as a factor of forming of valuable orientations of future facilities

Abstract

The article defines the important role of institutions of higher education, which form the value orientations of the individual through perception, awareness and comprehension of universal values. The library of higher school is a social institution, the distinctive feature of which is the strong interconnection with the system of higher education. The purpose of the proposed study is to determine the role and place of the library of the institution of higher education as a factor in the formation of value orientations of future specialists. The importance of subjects of the social and humanitarian cycle in shaping the value world of youth is substantiated. There was focused on the high mission of the library in the educational process. The history of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University library as a distinctive structure is presented, whose development is determined by the economic condition of the country and the modern facilities of the university. The composition and structure of the information resource of the library is characterized, the features of its functioning are presented and the possible directions of the use of the university collections are determined. Particular attention is paid to electronic resources. It is noted that thanks to the work of the librarians and teachers of CNTU on the establishment and operation of a repository, the university became one of the best universities in Ukraine and the world by the number of quotes in the Google Scholar system.
