Abstract
The money issues launched by the UCR led by M. Hrushevsky and the Ukrainian State led by Hetman P. Skoropadsky contributed to the strengthening of the national monetary and financial system of the UPR and the Ukrainian State, and to the growth of the authority and trust of the Ukrainian people in their government. The money of our young state was a continuation of the traditions of Kyivan Rus and the Galicia-Volhynia state, contributed to strengthening the economy and international prestige, and the coupon mint introduced in independent Ukraine in 1992 became an important foundation for the introduction of the Ukrainian currency, the hryvnia, on 2 September 1996.
