Abstract
The article is devoted to a research of using of literary vocabulary in Ukrainian publicist texts in the beginning of XXI century. The feature of using literary words was considered, ways of its creating were described and the sphere of its using was defi ned. There was found out, that literary vocabulary is peculiar to offi cial and scientifi c styles of modern Ukrainian language, however in the beginning of XXI century it is widely used in the language of mass media. There was researched, that literary words are found in different thematic groups. They are mostly used in articles, where government is characterized, political actions, held in the country are described and also in texts, where Ukrainian-Russian or international relations are outlined. There were analyzed words, which have a meaning, that or underlines negative attitude of author to something or someone, or provides text with ironical evaluation, or on the contrary – elation or celebration. There was summarized, that the question of using of literary words in domestic mass media is inexhaustible and requires further researches.
