Abstract
The article emphasizes the relevance of research in the field of electronic document management in libraries due to the rapid development of technology and the growing requirements for data protection. The role of libraries as multifunctional centers offering a wide range of services and the need to adapt to new technologies to ensure relevance and competitiveness are defined. The main emphasis of the article is on electronic document management, which simplifies processing and ensures the speed and efficiency of document management. The use of cloud technologies, electronic data interchange systems and document management systems, as well as the application of artificial intelligence and automation, allow libraries to facilitate access to resources, promote cooperation with other institutions, and increase productivity. The article discusses the advantages of electronic document management in modern libraries, such as automation of routine processes, convenient access to information, improved communication, analytics and reporting, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of documents. The article describes various information security systems used in libraries, such as data encryption, user authentication, access control, monitoring and auditing, and physical security. The use of these systems helps to ensure the security and confidentiality of documents in libraries. The article raises the issue of improving information security in modern libraries. Several measures have been proposed to improve information security, including regular cybersecurity training for employees, the use of multi-level authentication, network and data protection, software updates, implementation of the principle of least privilege, security audits, and partnerships with specialized vendors
