Abstract
The article analyzes the composition and structure of the subfund of the Department of History, Archeology, Information and Archival Affairs in the electronic archive (repository) of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University. The official documents providing a basis of formation and functioning of the given information product are considered. These are, in particular, the Regulations on the repository, the User's Guide, the Copyright Agreement on the transfer of non-exclusive rights to use the work and others. The structural subdivisions of the university are determined, which carry out the general management of the repository and coordinate the work on its formation and filling. It is noted that the repository of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University is included in the Top 100 of the Ukrainian space of the Webometrics rating. The collection of educational and methodical materials of the subfund of the Department of History, Archeology, Information and Archival Affairs on the author's basis (teacher's name), temporal sign, type of documents (species sign), educational programs for applicants is analyzed. The collection of scientific publications in the collection of the department by author, time of publication, type of document, language of the document, thematic feature is also analyzed. The need to study the composition and structure of institutional electronic archives, especially in terms of content and thematic context, which provides important information about promising areas of research in synchrony and diachrony. The connection of the research with the issue of citation analysis (scientometrics) is substantiated. The significant role of electronic archives (repositories) of universities in the system of scientific communications is pointed out
