Abstract
Currently, cultural and information centers not only activate cultural cooperation, they play a special role in the process of formation of civil society, build a solid foundation for the formation of Ukrainian information content. By involving the population in a wide range of actions and events, information centers contribute to increasing civic activity of people, form patriotism and civic consciousness in them, help create a special social microclimate in all spheres of social life. A comprehensive analysis of the information institutions of the region allows us to single out certain practical accents of the activities of these institutions. Thus, the most common types of activities of the Regional Universal Scientific Library named after D. I. Chyzhevskyi in the conditions of martial law were lectures by leading scientists of the region, in particular historians and philologists; master classes organized for citizens and immigrants; cultural street actions, round tables, artistic presentations. The employees of the State Archive of the Kirovohrad region focused on the digitization of archival documents and active participation in all-Ukrainian and international conferences and seminars, as well as the organization and holding of virtual exhibitions dedicated to current issues. The activities of cultural and information centers are aimed at increasing the prestige and security of the state, because only under the condition of balanced cooperation of information institutions, Ukraine is capable of decently resisting the russian occupation both on the battlefield and in the information war
